Drommer, Endings 8th (continued)
We camp topside
Coletrane finds another entrance during his watch
6 more skeleton miners attack us at night
we kill them all
Bestille, Endings 9th
It is possible those Boneminers came from the other entrance Coletrane found
We should clear that area out too before we send workers here
Fabian is sick with ghoul fever, it eventually kills him days later
Marley says it won't be a big deal, he'll come back in a day or so
Second mine is much smaller than the first
still veiny, throbbing with untold riches
We find hundreds of old, decayed flowers at the end of the mine
we can't think of any reason why these are here
could be something obscure
they're probably been here years
underneath this pile we see some bloodstains, maybe a memorial of some kind?
Convinced the mine area is safe, we head back to Kurtle
Travel is uneventful
During travel we see some mauled deer
our guides believes it is the result of wolves, but are troubled that so little was eaten
Galskap, Endings 10th
Arrive at Kurtle
The Svartness have already left
We catch Krix up on our expidetion
he wants to introduce us to Matera, who may be able to assist us in this mining endevour
Matera is their best tunneler
he is willing to help with the silver mine, if ordered
we ask him several questions to ascertain his proficiency in mining
he'll be good enough, for a start
We start planning Minetown
things we needs
[ ] Someone who knows how to refine ore
[x] Tunneler
[ ] Miners
[ ] Get rid of the haunt
[ ] Transportation
[ ] Carpenters
[ ] Traders
[ ] Security
We send some kobolds to the Svartness
We want to present the idea of this mining town as a permanent settlement for them
since they seem to want this based on how they wanted to take over Kurtle
They could also serve as security for the town
Veksle, Endings 12th
The kobolds return from the Svartness
A few svarntess and Uwem are with them
Coletrane talks to Uwem about the mine
Creating a new town may be superfluous, since it is just within 2 miles of South Kort
But a mining operation should still be built
The Svartness will be willing to help in this cause
Our coming, as foretold by The Banisher, will ensure cooperation of the Svartness
Uwem recommends taking over South Kort through might
Population around 2.5k
Velubrias and Auross are the popular religions there
Gorshon is becoming popular too, due to Trifinian's growing aggression
Uwem doesn't know South Kort's political structure, but will look into it for us
Trifinian is about x10 as big as South Kort and much more militaristic
Aeralise and Gorshon are popular there
Monarchy
Anton and Coletrane both agree on creating a kind of alliance between South Kort, the Svartness and Kurtle
As the current geo-political situation is mostly independent city-states this kind of treaty will draw attention
Uwem returns from Sevitry with Jurgen, a hobgoblin
he knows about South Kort
It is run by a council of 5 Guildmasters
Wood, Iron, Water, Earth, Spirit
he will try and secure a meeting between us and this council
Jurgen met Nulgrim, sold him a lot of things as he traveled north
Jurgen mentions that most of the area has heard of our arrival, so no use hiding anymore
Might as well make that trip to Sevitry to buy gear and such
Vite, Endings 13th
Anton is staying in Kurtle to make some weapons
Marcellus, Marley, Coletrane, Uwem and Jurgen will go to Sevitry for supplies
Jurgen doesn't think we'll be able to get most of our supplies in Sevitry
He suggestions Trifinian
We agree and will only make quick stop in Sevitry before moving on to Trifinian
Uwem will not go to Trifinian, but will accompany us to Sevitry
Sevitry is, we are told, pretty small.
we get lots of stares, but no fanfare. Pretty quite.
Jurgen explains how the Folrein have a pretty big reputation for wanton destruction.
While Uwem thinks of that as a good thing, it is clear most people do not share that belief
Marcellus wants to allay any suspicion, and is not successful.
A bigger gesture will be needed.
We move on towards Trifinian
Helbrede, Endings 15th
Arrive at Trifinian
Definitely the biggest city we have ever seen
Jurgen "announces" us, people are still scared
He'll help us sell our axe and buy some things
First stop is The Temple of the Elder, a Saerbrethach church, to verify our item
Coletrane asks Jurgen why he isn't scared of the Folrein, like everyone else
he sincerely states that he just isn't frightened, and would rather get along with us instead.
With his help, we make our trades.
Begin our trip back to Kurtle
